Back in 1983, after getting my hands on a Commodore VIC20 (previously I'd owned a Sinclair ZX81), I wrote a Tron-a-like Light Cycle game. Feeling brave I sent a copy of it to Personal Computer News. It was published in their December 15-21 1983 edition.

This is arguably the first item of free software I ever published.

I like to think my coding has improved a little since then.
